About Lona Lyons

Lona Lyons is a licensed, non-denominational minister; spiritual life coach; writer; and photographer who lives on the Big Island of Hawaii. Her photography work includes weddings and special events and she creates custom photo movies on DVD in which important occasions are showcased amidst a backdrop of beautiful music and special effects. She writes and performs sacred ceremonies to commemorate all important events including weddings; renewal of vows and commitment ceremonies; memorial services; christening ceremonies; and rites of passage. Her hands-on healing work facilitates an inner connection to the Divine Source. She is a student of the Ascended Masters' Teachings.

A Personal Note from Lona

I spent the first 40 years of my life doing what most women of my generation were doing: trying to grow up and recover from the conditioning of a dysfunctional family and world; getting married and divorced; letting go of my cherished illusions about the handsome prince who would someday rescue me; raising children; climbing the corporate ladder so I could support a family; reading self-help books; going to therapy; trying to find God in all the churches; and spending countless hours in consciousness-raising seminars. In other words, I defied tradition and there was no blueprint or instruction manual for the great unknown. It makes me tired just to think about it!

It wasn't until after I passed my fortieth birthday that I began to discover that what I had been searching for was within me all along, lying dormant and beneath my level of awareness: my True Self -- the spark of Divinity that makes me an inseparable part of All That Is. Then the real Work began.

Awakening from my slumber required my willingness to let go of all my worldly possessions and my prestigious position as a management consultant so I could follow the Still, Small Voice within, wherever it led me. Much of the journey since then has been absolutely magical. Other times, well...stripping away the extraneous and removing the reins from the grip of the personality is not always easy and painless. I went kicking and screaming on many occasions before I remembered what was most important and surrendered to it.
